P2/3’s Litter Pick

As part of our community topic P2/3M went on a litter pick.  We collected lots of litter on the paths between Glashieburn and Asda.  We couldn’t believe how much we found!

We had great fun helping to keep our local area tidy!
We found lots of litter, big and small!
When we got back to class we made graphs to show off what we discovered.

P2 are also developing their skills in addition and subtraction. So far they’ve been learning to add numbers within 20 and count on without having to ‘start again’. They have been developing their own strategies to help them, for example using concrete materials (cubes, counters, beads) number lines or their fingers.

As a class, P2/3 are investigating different 2D and 3D shapes.  They are learning to name, draw, tile and copy and continue patterns and list their properties.
