The discos were a success and our DJ was great. We will be using him again for future discos.

 

FUTURE EVENTS

 

This will need to be discussed with Paula Baxter. We have LETS booked up until June of next year (2017) but we will meet to sit down and book for the following year (2017/18).

At our next meeting we will also discuss events for the LETS already booked.   Suggestions already made have included a Ladies Pamper Evening, a Scottish Night, a Pet Show and a Race Night.

 

CHRISTMAS CARDS

 

Sample cards have arrived and have gone out to parents with the order forms to be back by 4th Nov. Then we collate the orders and input online. The PTA team will do this. The cards should arrive back within 14 days of us putting in the order.

 

SANTAS GROTTO – 21st Dec

 

Nicola to put out a request to the school for donations of Christmas decorations for our Santa’s Grotto.

Members of the PTA will decorate Santa’s Grotto.

Sandie Ewen plus members of the PTA will be wrapping books for Santa to give to the children.

The children will be provided with the book plus a sweet.

Isla Taylor and Emma Combe have offered to be Christmas Elves on this day.

Anne Haggart’s dad has very kindly offered to be Santa with his own suit.

 

 

CHRISTMAS FAYRE

 

We now have 23 external stalls booked for the fayre.

 

The main raffle prizes will be as follows:

1st prize – Xbox package

2nd prize – Amazon Fire Stick

3rd prize – £50 voucher for the Mains of Scotstown

 

Debra Bowie will take charge of the internal stalls including glitter tattoos along with help from Sandie Ewen and Rachael Nicol.

 

We still need helpers for the catering of the fayre. Emma Cranna has offered to collect our order from Thains Bakery for the Fayre. We have had offers of help for the kitchen from Judith Ross, Esther Walterson and Jane Mitchell. Anne Haggart has offered help in the kitchen but may do a different role at the fayre.

Karen in the school kitchen will need to be advised of the day of the fayre so we can get use of the kitchen.

 

Claire Swanson will be providing biscuits for Mrs Claus’ kitchen for free and therefore her stall fee has been waived.

 

Karen Gill has kindly offered to help prepare Reindeer Food for the fayre.

 

Anne Thompson, Lynne Murray and Emma Combe have offered to do the Tombola at the fayre.   There will be an adult one and a child one.

The PTA will be sending out a letter to ask for donations for the tombola on dress down day. We will ask P1-P3 to provide donations for the children’s tombola and P4-P7 to provide donations for the adult tombola.

Extra sweets etc. will be purchased to go with the tombola as prizes.

 

We are still looking for a helper for our hot Chocolate to be sold in the hall.   These will be provided at £1 with toppings to choose from.

 

7000 raffle tickets have been ordered today (28-10-2016) by Audra. Once these arrive a few of the PTA members will divide these up to be put out with the children.

 

A floor plan of the fayre will be provided.

 

We still need to sit down and put together a shopping list for the fayre.

Monday 7th November 20161 at 7pm in school staffroom.
