Summer Reading Challenge

The theme for this year’s Tesco Bank Summer Reading Challenge Scotland is The Big Friendly Read to celebrate the birth of Roald Dahl 100 years ago. The Challenge will feature some of Roald Dahl’s best loved characters and the amazing artwork of Quentin Blake who has illustrated so many of Roald Dahl’s books.

This year’s core pack will be a concertina fold-up card wallet where you can slot six limited edition Quentin Blake collector cards, each celebrating a popular Dahl theme: Mischief, Invention, Adventure, Wordplay, Child Champions and Friendship. It wouldn’t be the Challenge if we didn’t have a smelly  element, so 3 of the collectors’ cards feature scratch and sniff inks.

We’ve also got some new incentives for you, including some very special Aberdeen City Libraries ones, so keep a look out for further information which will be available in all libraries very soon.

The Challenge will run from Friday 1 July until Saturday 20 August in all libraries across the City. Each library will hold a specially themed  Challenge Event during the holidays.        Print
