P2 class summary of Learning for Term 3
During Term 3, Primary Two have enjoyed exploring different techniques and skills in Art, to create pieces based on mini topics of plants and dinosaurs. The class enjoyed a trip to Duthie Park where they planted their own seeds and had the opportunity to be plant hunters. In PE our main class focus was team games and as part of our Sport Relief challenge we enjoyed walking a mile daily.
In maths we have enjoyed learning new maths concepts through games, ICT and play. We have learnt about time, both digital and analogue, we can do our 2, 5 and 10 times tables and have been learning how to record information on different types of charts.
In Literacy we have been working hard to sound out tricky words on our own to help us read and answer comprehension questions. For our Taught Writing we have focussed on imaginative writing centred around our Dinosaur topic. Some of the other activities we have completed include designing new front covers, writing our own endings and creating posters all based around our reading books.
We look forward to Term 4 in Primary Two where we will be working on an exciting topic together with the P1 and P1/2 classes.
