Primary 3 enjoyed a class visit from Mr Strachan

Primary enjoyed a fantastic morning with Nurse Strachan from the NHS.

The children were able to ask lots of interesting questions and learn about his role as a nurse. The class were also very excited to learn how to use bandages and have the opportunity to practise with a partner. The children also learned how to measure their pulse rate before and after exercise. Primary 3 were also given the opportunity to learn about the importance of first aid and how to carry out the recovery position.

We would all like to thank Mr Strachan for visiting and giving the class such a wonderful experience! A great end to a fantastic topic!

  1. Emily really enjoyed Mr Strachan’s visit, she couldn’t wait to show us the recovery position, where to find her pulse and how to bandage. A very important learning experience, well done P3M!

  2. Dear boys and girls,
You look like you had lots of fun when Nurse Strachan came to visit your class. I am sure you will be able to help me if I hurt myself 🙂 Thank you Miss Mitchell for organising the event.
